In my last trailer post, I said I was from now on only going to post ones which I really believe should be reposted and seen, this is one of those films. The actual quality of the film can’t be decided until the release date but with an inspirational story, it’s something that’s needed right now. Taking a look into three brilliant African-American women who worked for NASA: Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughn (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe). These women who were the brains behind one of the greatest operations in the history of NASA, launching the first American astronaut to orbit the Earth. After recent events, portraying the story of these brilliant women is extremely pertinent, and with the particular women taking part, it should be a great film.
Directed by: Theodore Melfi and will be released 24th February.
