You may have heard of this one but if not here’s what it involves, a young boy seeks the help of a tree monster, voiced by Liam Neeson, to help him cope with the fact that his mother (Felicity Jones) is terminally ill. Brought to you by J.A. Bayona of The Orphanage and The Impossible, a director who seemingly is verging on a career of jumping from genre to genre to inject some of his style, this time he’s tackling a serious subject but making it something that can be watched by all ages. Give the trailer a watch and you’ll see this fantastical story that he has brought to the big screen, it’s a strange idea but if this little taste is anything to go by, he looks to have created something extremely interesting. Also starring: Toby Kebbell, Sigourney Weaver and Geraldine Chaplin.
