The Magnificent Seven Trailer

Now, like a large majority of film-goers, I am a huge fan of Chris Pratt and if ever there were a year that he could claim to be his, it’s this one; after breaking out with Guardians of the Galaxy and hitting his stride with Jurassic World, there looks like nowhere to go but up. But the next thing to think about is, is the world ready for another remake taking advantage of an old classic to make something of, almost certain, lesser quality? That may seem pre-emptive but it’s extremely difficult to name a decent remake off the top of your head, exclusively when talking about those where the original films were great to begin with. Regardless studios will keep making them and The Magnificent Seven is just the next in a long list, this time around starring alongside Chris Pratt, Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke, Peter Sarsgaard, Byung-hun Lee, Matt Bomer, Haley Bennet, Cam Gigandet and two actors, whom the possibility of a culmination on screen makes me cringe, Vincent D’Onofrio and Vinnie Jones. Directed by Antoine Fuqua who most people will probably know from his films such as Training Day, Olympus Has Fallen, The Equaliser and Southpaw, this could possibly be taking a turn for the different, or it could possibly be very similar just in a very different setting, we’ll have to wait and see but to get a taste of what’s in store, here’s their very first trailer:
