With the remake gradually becoming more common than original film, children’s favourites are always on the hit list, and this time it’s another Roald Dahl classic in the form of The BFG (or big friendly giant to those who aren’t familiar). Being voiced principally by Mark Rylance, Bill Hader and Rebecca Hall, this live action remake could either be welcoming an older story to a new generation or it could go the way of Pan and make no contribution whatsoever, whether the little that can be seen answers that question at all is doubtful but until the final product is revealed it can’t be judged.
